Attack on Titan Season 2 Production Postponed?; Reason Behind Delay Revealed

Attack on Titan Season 2 is probably one of the most awaited anime of today. According to various reports, the anime is still far from coming to our small screens as it has been revealed that it is to be released in 2016.

According to a recent report, the producers of the anime had chosen to wait for the manga to have more published stories before they start with the production. According to a source the first season had already covered the first 34 chapters of the manga, which is currently in chapter 70.

Currently the manga is already ahead of the anime by two story arcs but according to reports the manga needs to be at least ahead by four story arcs from the anime before the production of the anime can start. The production of season two which will focus on the "Clash of Titans" arc and the "The Uprising" will start to commence soon as the fourth story arc is done.

Meanwhile the first season of the anime will be divided into two and will be shown in theaters. The first film entitled "Attack on the Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow" will cover the first 13 episodes of the show and was released last November 22, 2014 while the second film entitled "Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom" will cover the remaining episodes of the season and is set to release on theaters this coming June 27.

Also, there has been 2 OVAs that were released, the first one entitled "Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi" is a prequel to the anime and will be focusing on one of the most beloved character of the anime, Levi. Another two live actions entitled "Attack on Titan" will be released in theaters in 2016 and will be making an entrance to the US theaters around summer and autumn of 2015.

Attack on Titan season two is expected to comeback on 2016.
