Michael Clifford updated his fans about his health condition after the accident on Saturday via his twitter account. The guitarist of the band 5 Seconds Of Summer has suffered facial burn while performing on stage for their "Rock Out With Your Socks Out" tour in London.
According to the report of BostonHerald, the disaster happened during the second night of their 3 Nights concert at Wembley Arena in London. Michael Clifford was playing their hit song "She Looks So Perfect" then he accidentally walked into a pyrotechnics display which lighted his hair up on fire. Thus, he rushed away from the stage, and then fanned away the smoke with a towel.
The 5 Seconds of Summer concert ended abruptly. It was Ashton Irwin who made the announcement that the band would not continue the concert that night and told the fans Clifford has hurt himself. Concerned fans flooded the twitter network with trending hashtag #GetWellSoonMichael. Each member of the band tweeted updates of their band mate and what's going to happen in their tour, which all decided to push through their tour and will continue performing for them on Sunday.
E! Online has published the photo Clifford tweeted including the picture wherein his hair caught the fire. The 19-year-old Australian guitarist tweeted his fans to fill in what's happening with him after the incident. In his Instagram account, he made a funny comment of himself that he looked like Harvey Dent, the villainous two-face in Batman comics.
HelloMagazine reported that British fans were elated seeing Michael on stage on their 3rd and final day in London. The 5 Seconds of Summer Guitarist came out without a bandage on his face, and it appeared like his face was left unmarked by the pyrotechnics mishap. He said in his twitter account before he performed that he felt really better and excited to perform for the fans. He also thanked his fans on twitter for spreading the love and told them that his band mates appreciated everything they did for them. He added, "And also thank you so much to all my friends for wishing me the best."
The 5 of Seconds of Summer will continue their tour in the US and Canada this coming July.
