Aside from the confirmation that "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston will appear in "Better Call Saul" soon, a report also claims that he will be directing an episode of the spinoff too. And it seems Aaron Paul also wants a spinoff for his Jesse Pinkman since the actor just pulled a prank about it just recently.
"Better Call Saul" season 2 is not slated to return until early next year but news about it just keeps surfacing for its diehards to chew on. Recent reports include co-writer Vince Gilligan's confirmation that Bryan Cranston's Walter White will appear in the spinoff but not as soon as the second season.
According to The Independent, the "Better Call Saul" co-helmer finally made a clear statement about Bryan Cranston's cameo. Gilligan noted that "it would be a shame" if Walter White will not appear on the spinoff throughout its run. He went on to saying that they would even love Cranston to sit on the director's chair in one BCS episode. But all the attachment of "Breaking Bad" actors depend on the right timing and of course, scheduling.
"All of the wonderful characters who may eventually appear on Better Call Saul will appear when it is most organic and fitting to the storytelling of Better Caul Saul and also when we can work out scheduling issues with actors. I would love to see that personally," Gilligan said.
Vince Gilligan first hinted "Breaking Bad" characters making a cameo in "Better Call Saul" during his previous Reddit AMA. He told the fans that the good thing about Saul Goodman's show is it takes place where all characters from "BrBa" are still alive, making their cameos easier to do.
And it looks like Aaron Paul cannot wait to have a spinoff himself as the actor just recently pulled a cruel and elaborate prank on Jesse Pinkman's fans, Stuff reports. Paul posted a snap on Instagram that says "Congratulations" and hinted that it is a top secret project.
"Can't wait to tell you what this is all about. It's top secret for now but you all will know soon enough. It's a new gig that I am over the moon about. Thank you angel for sending this to me from across the country. Love you lots and lots," wrote Paul as a caption.
The "Breaking Bad" alum later tweeted that it was all just a joke, breaking the hearts of his fans. Some took it lightly while others were very upset about his brutal prank.
No one can tell if Jesse Pinkman will really have his own spinoff in the future or if he will also appear in "Better Call Saul" like Walter White. Good news is Bryan Cranston will definitely appear and might also direct an episode of the spinoff.
"Better Call Saul" season 2 is scheduled for a 2016 premiere on AMC .
