'The Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials' Update: Last 2 installment taken from 2nd and 3rd book; Ingenious production technique revealed

The Director of "The Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials" revealed that lightings were not that used much in the filming of the movie. Flashlights were used instead. The said movie and its third installation will be a mixture of the stories from both the second and third books.

SAME BUT DIFFERENT

Wes Ball, "The Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials" Director shared with Movie Pilot that the second installation will be very different from the first one saying that they did not use much lighting effects but only flashlights in order to give the needed scary look. A giant desert with sand dunes that swallow the world is one of the scary scenes that can be expected. Ball added that they did not adapt the whole book of James Dashner. He said there will be still some similarities but with a slight twist. Moreover, some of the parts of Book 2 will be saved for the movie's Part 3 and vice versa. This means that the content in Books 2 and 3 were distributed for the movie's second and third installation.

The maze in the second movie will also be more dangerous than the first where there will be literally no water, food and shelter. The kids will no longer be secured and safe.

Yibada added that there will be a lot of dark places and every scene will be scary. Author James Dashner even said that some parts of the upcoming installments of "The Maze Runner" movies are not in his book. The author lauded the director's passion and creativity as well as the cast's talents.

Dylan O' Brien, one of the stars of the movie, was quoted by Movie News Guide as saying that viewers will expect a lot of running. Kaya Scodelaria on the other hand admitted that being not a fan of exercising, running in the movie made it hard for her.

Filming has already ended and "The Maze Runner2: The Scorch Trials" will be shown in the U.S. this coming September 18.
