Consecutively, Android TV was completely unleashed on the public at the E3 conference, which is taking place in LA this week. Google's latest addition to its TV lineup, Android TV will be integrated to Android 5.0 Lollipop and will run on phones, tablets and cars through Android Auto.
"By the end of this year, 35 car models will offer Android Auto, helping you access Search, Maps, music and other information through your car's controls. And the first sets running Android TV have now arrived," says on Android's official blog. Android TV is modeled to move features on your device to your TV. Classified in Pocket-Lint, Android TV gives emphasis on the improvement of navigation, entertainment annex and easy interaction. It's about a TV with an interface that's familiar and easy to manipulate. It has voice controls (a popular Google property today) giving you access to other devices such as Android phone and Android Wear watch.
The card-based interface sits in a familiar way, making it easier to do the things you want to do without a convoluted menu system. Entertainment apps will be obtainable and there's the chance for Android's app developers to modify apps for the large screen. No matter which information services such as weather, you may customize your TV's content to suit you.
Android TV is the descendant of Google TV, the company's earlier shot on a big screen plunk. You can simply don't recall that Google TV ever occurred. In fact, application developers are persuaded to shift to Android TV as a substitute.
On a lighter note, Sony has placed Android TV on its TV lineup for this year with Sharp and TPVision. Since Android TV was publicized at Google !/O 2014 last year, Google also issued the Nexus Player as the first hardware to stream Android TV. Other manufacturers have announced undersized set top box style units (Forge TV) with the Android TV on the ship as well, enumerated on Android Central.
Google's point with Android 5.0 Lollipop was to generate a more consistent Android. It's considered for uniformity for other devices; we've got the drift of Lollipop smartphones and Lollipop Android Wear devices, we've seen Android TV, and Android Auto cars will be smacking in no time.
