Most fans of "The Big Bang Theory" are wondering how the writers will Sheldon will deal with his situation in season 9 after Amy left him during the ultimate episode last season.
However, Mayim Bialik, Amy Farrah Fowler in the series, told Gold Derby that she personally doesn't deem the heartbreaking scene as a breakup.
"I don't know if I consider it breaking up. The writers were very specific with the language that they used. Amy needed some time, she needed to step back," said Bialik
The 39-year-old actress however, admits that everyone during the table read of the season 8 finale were shocked when they knew about Sheldon's proposal. Bialik even considered the final scene as "powerful."

The show's host, scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson, mentioned the show's criticisms for its stereotypes and said Sheldon "comes closest to what anyone might describe as Asperger's."
Bialik, a neuroscientist herself, responds that it is true that the characters in their show have interesting features that make their social skills unconventional but then she adds an even greater statement.
"I think what's interesting and kind of sweet and what should not be lost on people is we don't pathologise our characters. We don't talk about medicating them or even really changing them," the actress noted.
