Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) are one of the most vibrant couples on television. Their story on "Modern Family" already shined a couple of times since it sure is distinct and refreshing just like their characters. That's why a lot of the series' diehards will surely be devastated once the showrunners decide to shake things up in their relationship.
A report from the Towleroad site claims that the two might consider a divorce during "Modern Family season 7." There are no official reports as to the specific Mitch-Cam storyline the seventh season will follow but we previously reported that the two might finally decide to have a new baby.
Some fans are speculating that Ariel Winter's Alex Dunphy will face challenges as a college student while Andy and Haley will continue the cat and mouse plot just to play with the feelings of their fans.
Meanwhile, it seems "Modern Family" showrunners are already gearing up for season 8 following co-creator Steve Levitan's statement with E! that they are confident the show will run for a couple more years.
Previously, the adult stars of the show had a controversial standoff with the producer 20th Century Fox Television about salary issues. In exchange for increased salaries, the current contract of the adult "Modern Family" cast states that they agreed to a season 8, as per the report of The Hollywood Reporter.
