'True Detective' spoilers are everywhere, as the show is getting near to Season 2 premiere. Fans are already excited and nervous (at the same time) about how will the sophomore start. Many fans are confident that it will turn out great, while others are still skeptical as to how writer Nic Pizzolatto will shift us to another dimension.
With 'True Detective' season 2 debuting this Sunday at 9 on HBO, Nic Pizzolatto is still writing all the scripts. Not much like before, the sophomore season will be very different than the first one. McConaughey and Harrelson have been replaced by a new cast of movie actors, including Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch.
Thus, fans could not stop comparing the previous one to the upcoming season. But, Uproxx already reviewed that Season 2 will be as good, if not, better than the first season. But if it doesn't, it could really get messy. Either way, the upcoming season is definitely worth watching.
The site speculates that Pizzolatto will open the series with lots of intrigue. And each of the 4 character is teetering a line between complex/interesting and being a bit of caricature.
Speaking of the four main characters, Vogue has a detailed description for each of them. Each character has a trouble past, which is the usual.
'True Detective' Season 2 features Frank Semyon, plays by Vince Vaughn, an L.A crime lord. Things will go awry for him when one of his business partners found dead.
Ray Velocro, portrays by Colin Farrell, a good cup turned bad, forced to do Frank's dirty work after he helped him track down his wife's rapist twelve years ago.
Ani Bezzerides, plays by Rachel McAdams, is a county sheriff's detective with dark past including gambling, smoking, drinking, drugs and sex.
And, Paul Woodrugh, portrays by Taylor Kitsch, is a highway motorcycle patrol officer who is an an army veteran.
Meanwhile, director Cary Fukunaga, who handed all eight episodes last year, has given way to Justin Lin and an eclectic group of other directors, Hitflix reports. Unlike the first season, this time the show will swap out directors throughout the season.
Fans, what are your expectations for Season 2? Will the cast and writer Nic Pizzolatto live up to expectations? We will have to wait, see and judge. Also, share us your thoughts below for 'True Detective' spoilers.
