A new research note coming from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo gives details about the changes of the design in the Apple iPhone 6s (others call iPhone 7) speculated to be released on September 25.
In Ming-Chi Kuo's note, it showed that the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 is going to be 0.15mm taller and wider. Its thickness is also going to be adjusted, which will be at 0.2mm. The change was due to the inclusion of the Force Touch in the smartphone's display as it needs more "space."
The 7000 Series aluminum was also mentioned and that Apple will use it in their flagship handset.
"Series 7000 aluminum was first introduced by Apple on the Apple Watch, and its use is said to make the next iPhone's outer casing up to 60% harder than the current iPhone 6. Apple has said before that the new aluminum was the result of their creation of an entirely new alloy, but it still features just one-third the density of stainless steel," reported SlashGear.
Kuo also noted some color changes to be made in the Apple iPhone 6s, iPhone 7. It was said that the device would be "more yellow, space grey will become darker and there will be a new rose gold option."
However, amidst the plethora of changes that the company is hinted to make (camera, Force Touch, casing, and others), it was observed that the note failed to mention one improvement: battery.
"While the iPhone 6 Plus is one of the longest lasting phones on the market, arguably the greatest weakness of the iPhone 6 is its stamina. Nothing we have seen so far suggests this will change with the iPhone 6S," observed Forbes.
It is hoped by various iPhone fans that the company could at least improve its battery life, especially that the specs and features mentioned will definitely consume much energy.
And as far as the release date is concerned, an email from Vodafone allegedly leaked it.
"The rumors allegedly started from an insider at Vodafone. An email was reportedly circulating within the company, telling employees that they should prepare for the start of preorder-taking for an Apple iPhone starting September 18," said Latinos Post.
Apple usually accepts pre-orders a week before they roll out iPhones and, in this case, it would be around September 25.
Nevertheless, it is best to take these with a grain of salt as Apple is yet to make official statements about the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7.
