‘Sense8’ Season 1 Review: A sci-fi that explores on sexuality, nationality and more; Is Season 2 coming up?

Netflix new show 'Sense8' has uniqueness in it, something not sci-fi world usually does. The series focuses on eight characters that have all awakened an ability to tap into each other's feelings, thoughts and sometimes their actions. Will the show proceed to Season 2?

Netflix released, during the first week of this month, a new supernatural series called 'Sense8'. If you don't know, this series is about a group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order, according to IMDB that rated the show of 8.4.

'Sense8' tells the story of eight strangers: Will (Smith), Riley (Middleton), Capheus (Ameen), Sun (Bae), Lito (Silvestre), Kala (Desai), Wolfgang (Riemelt), and Nomi (Clayton). Each individual is from a different culture and part of the world. In the aftermath of a tragic death, they all experience through what they perceive as dreams or visions, they suddenly find themselves growing mentally and emotionally connected.

But if fans dig deeper, 'Sense8' season 1 explores the transcendence of human beings that supersedes nationality, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, as reviewed by Movie Pilot. The group dynamic of the eight individuals begin to work in unison to protect each other. Their respective lives are all impacted from each of their individual worlds.

Now, many viewers, who are starting to love the show, question if 'Sense8' will have Season 2. While it is too early for Netflix to reveal its verdict, many viewers believed that this show could have a sophomore season. Movie Pilot notes that during the first season, not all characters were given emphasis and season 2 might give them the spotlight.

ArtsBeat is also hopeful for 'Sense8' to have second season, as it could answer some questions like if Will need to kept indefinitely sedated to keep Whispers at bay, and the effect once Riley runs out of drug.
