And in his most personal, Director Hidetaka Miyazaki, the man credited for the success of teh franchise, spoke with online gaming pundit Siliconera in another stunning reveal for the upcoming Dark Souls 3 release. His first reveal: a new weapon, Scimitars.
Elaborating the Japanese legendary director detailed: "Scimitars can be dual-wielded if the player holds the weapon with both hands," demonstrating by going down deeper into an ash-ridden castle.
Further he added: "They excel at taking out several weaker enemies at once with their special ability, called a spin."
But hold your horses, there's more. Miyazaki added: "This is a great weapon when you're ambushed or suddenly surrounded, but it won't do much for you around knights."
Knights? Yes, the great director confirms there is a new most challenging enemy in the form of knights, considered to be a formidable challenge. And giving another great hint, Miyazaki via his demonstrator took a familiar weapon, the great sword which according to him has a new ability.
