The more than one minute trailer for the upcoming movie "Turbo Kid" is already out. The teaser gives a preview that will make viewers in for another "Mad Max" experience this summer.
Epic Pictures has released the full-length trailer for the coming of age flick "Turbo Kid" which shows an 80s feel. A lot of those who belonged to the 70s to 80s generation could relate to it, with the music, colors and technology there was at the time. The movie however according to Slashfilm is actually set in post apocalyptic 1997. The trailer shows Turbo Kid (Munro Chambers), a 10 year old orphan taking an adventure to Wasteland riding his BMX bike to rescue her girlfriend played by Laurence Leboeuf who was kidnapped by warlord portrayed by Michael Ironside. Along his journey, Turbo Kid, who becomes a teenage superhero all dressed in an outfit, meets another character who teams up with him. A lot of action and motor-riding scenes will be seen in the movie which has actually debuted already at the Sundance Film Festival.
Moreover, the film is said to have a "Mad Max" feel. Den of Geek adds that Turbo Kid is a scavenger who loves to read comic books. The mysterious girl he meets is named Apple who is taken by Zeus. Turbo Kid has to use his inspiration from the comic book he sees and acts as a superhero by facing his fears.
The film will also be screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Blast reports that Turbo Kid, an independent sci-fi film, has been getting positive reviews. The movie was described to be something new and mad.
Turbo Kid will take viewers for a ride on August 28 wherein it will be shown in theatres for a limited period as well as on VOD (Video on Demand).
