It seems that game developer Bungie has been busy beefing up Destiny's newest expansion 'The Taken King'. This shared-world shooter features several game elements such as three new subclasses and new Guardian supers, which includes Titan Sunbreaker, Hunter Nightstalker, and Warlock Stormcaller. Players will also battle a formidable villain named Oryx, the Taken King, and his army of vile corruptions called 'The Taken'. Bungie describes 'The Taken' as new enemies who have been "wholly consumed, possessed by the Darkness, bodies and mind twisted into service of their King, bent to a singular purpose - our eradication".

'The Taken King' also features two new Crucible modes: Mayhem and Rift. Mayhem is similar to a team deathmatch mode but "turned up to 11″, while Rift is a twist on capture-the-flag challenge. The expansion also adds a bunch of new game elements such as new strikes, patrols, public events, exotics, legendaries, "progress for characters", environmental hazards, and a raid. Players will also several environments to explore such Phobos, one of the moons of Mars and another area around Saturn.

Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 gamers are also privy to exclusive content such as an exotic Scout Rifle called Jade Rabbit, as well as, a set of armor for each of Destiny's three classes. Playstation gamers can also embark on the Vex infested 'Echo Chamber' strike, and play on a Crucible map called Sector 618. The map is set within the ruins of an Earth colony reclaimed from the House of Wolves which features narrow chambers that leads into an open center area. And while Playstation gamers can enjoy the additional game contents, Xbox players will get these exclusives at least fall 2016.

Destiny: The Taken King launches September 15 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
