‘Mistresses’ Season 3 premiere better than expected? What to expect from Calista Raines?

'Mistresses' Season 3 has premiered in a very good way. Although the show was left by one cast member, other co-stars-Jes Macallan, Yunjin Kim and Rochelle Aytes - making all kinds of trouble. As Alyssa Milano went away, Jennifer Esposito fills the vacancy.

The series jumps back in where they left things last year with Joss and Harry rolling around in the sand, partaking in a steamy make-out session.

The upcoming episodes of 'Mistresses' season 3 will also answer questions involving everything from critical health issues, to illicit romances, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

In an interview, Brett Tucker, who plays Harry, the ex-husband of Savannah, and new love interest of her sister Jes says, "It's going to be right back into it, and obviously we left on a fairly large crescendo, so we're dealing with the fallout from that. And each character has their cliffhanger going as well. So it'll be much easier, I think, to you know, we won't have to fill in the gaps, basically we can just take off."

Despite the reports that she will not be written off from the show, Alyssa Milano opted to leave the series. But still, the writers of the show have brilliantly managed to handle Savannah's absence in the best way possible, IBTimes notes.

The show has added actress Jennifer Esposito to fill the gap in the cast for 'Mistresses' Season 3. Her character is expected to bring in more fun and mess up the world again, as the fourth new character completes the circle.

Esposito plays Calista Raines, a wealthy fashion designer who befriends Joss. Calista is brash and sassy, trying to catch her husband cheating, and seems like a fun partner-in-crime for Joss. Her character is also left a bit up in the air after the two-hour premiere, since at the end of hour two, Calista approaches Harry in a bar with unknown motives.

Zap2it notes that "Joss and Calista get up to various hijinks and go on soapy, rich people adventures" are definitely fun to watch. And Calista meeting April and Karen is also a must watch.
