"Terminator Genisys" has already debuted in Berlin, Germany on Sunday. Lead stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke together with producers graced the first showing of the sequel.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke have earlier been promoting "Terminator Genisys" across Europe before the new movie was finally out. Daily Mail reports that Clarke was seen wearing crutches on some events but during the movie's premiere, she was standing on her own. Joining them on the red carpet were co-stars Jai Courtney and Jason Clarke.
OLD AND NEW
In the movie, Sgt. Kyle Reese (Courtney) is sent back to 1984 by John Connor (Jaosn Clarke), the leader of the human resistance, to protect the latter's mother Sarah (Clarke) and the future, and sudden turn of events result in a broken timeline. Sgt. Reese is brought to a new and strange past where he joins unlikely allies, one of them is the Guardian, played by Schwarzenegger. Schwarzenegger reprises his role as The Terminator, the humanoid who could time travel. The team encounter new and dangerous opponents while they begin on a new mission of retuning the future.
Emilia Clarke meanwhile reprises the role of woman soldier Sarah Connor, played back then by Linda Hamilton. The 28 year old actress says she knows of the Terminator's prequels especially her character which she describes to News.com.au as iconic. Clarke says the new movie will see a new scene and history but will have the same old characters. Connor's background for instance has a little twist but she is still the same woman with a gun.
Meanwhile, earlier, Schwarzenegger played pranks to visitors of Madame Tussaud's wax museum in Hollywood as he stood as The Terminator as if he was made of wax. The Independent reports that the actor talked while people were taking their pictures with him which made some run and scream.
"Terminator Genisys" will be shown in theaters in the U.S. on July 1.
