HBO has recently released 'The Leftovers' season 2 trailer, which confirmed previous speculations on show's reboot and changes. Indeed, the show is moving from New York to Texas. As far as the storyline is concerned, actor Justin Theroux and actress Carrie Coon have something to say about it.

Previous report revealed that the show was getting a creative reboot, and they are relocating from the setting of Mapleton, New York to a new location in the Lone Star state- Texas. The speculations were answered when HBO has finally released the first teaser for The Leftovers Season 2.

The said teaser shows a long traffic somewhere in Jarden, Texas, which already answered the show's changes in shooting location.

The upcoming season's premire date is yet to be released. But as far as storyline and plot details are concerned, two cast members gave fans some hints on what to expect for 'The Leftovers' season 2. Both of the actors agreed that the upcoming season will be very different than the first season.

In an interview with Deadline, actor Justin Theroux, confirmed that they have decided to leave Mapleton and move to new place called, Jarden, Texas. "I guess the teaser does reveal that there have been zero departures in that part of the world. So I guess infer what you will. Things are looking up."

When asked if season 2 will be a very different show, Theroux responded that it will. He added, "Of course, it's still Damon (creator Damon Lindelof), so it's still going to be charging hard at the core of a lot of psychological drama and angst. Just because they go somewhere else geographically doesn't mean, necessarily, that things get better, but they do change in a really interesting way. It's exciting. It's the same thing as last year, where every script, you're like, "Wow. This is really taking a turn, for better or worse."

On the other hand, actress Carrie Coon said, in an interview with Indiewire, that 'The Leftovers' season 2 trailer builds some interest in the new storyline. She added, "And the series was so different from the source material, in so many ways, that the sky kind of already felt like it was the limit. It already felt like they were willing to go far outside of the bounds of that material, and Tom Perrotta is a really generous collaborator."
