At the recently held E3 2015 press conference, Microsoft revealed surprises for the excited gamers on what to watch out for from game platforms in the near future. 343 Industries' Halo 5: Guardians gameplay demo was shown for the first time in public, which is ahead of its release in October 27 of this year, and had shown off the big multiplayer game mode Warzone.
The presentation of the Halo 5: Guardians demo was short, yet impressive in its own way. It opens up with the gameplay from Agent Spartan Locke's perspective, Time reports. He is searching for Master Chief. Locke uses a new device called the Artemis, to help scan the place for hints. An enemy gets in the way of Locke and his team, Osiris, stopping them in their search for Master Chief. After this, a montage of in-games footages were shown which includes huge spaceships and enemies, cyber insects, and explosions, and the game's official release date. The maps are now even four times bigger than those in the earlier releases.
Also at the E3 2015, Microsoft have provided the Halo HoloLens Experience. HoloLens is not actually part of Halo 5, at least not for the meantime, but it was actually used to show off what the HoloLens can do in a gaming environment according to IGN.
Inside a room that looked like a UNSC ship, the player start out using the HoloLens by putting their head in it. Then, an optometrist device will be used to measure the distance between the gamer's pupils, and then is submitted to an app which is already set in the HoloLens headset. Once it has already been registered, the player get to walk around the room while looking at the hallway, and it appears exactly as how it looks like in Master Chief's visor in the game. You get to experience Halo as if it is real.
As reported by Engadget, Halo 5: Guardians is a new first-person shooter game that is a part of the Halo franchise. It is also the first Halo title under the Xbox One gaming platform. Now with the Warzone multi-player mode, you can play on a 24-player system against other people and other computer generated enemies. This feature just shows how important team dynamics are in the game.
Microsoft refers to Halo 5: Guardians as its "biggest, most ambitious Halo yet, with seamless drop-in, drop-out cooperative play."
