Project CARS DLC Coming Soon; Dev Confirms Project CARS 2 with Largest Track Roster, Hillclimbs, Touge, and Rallycross Motorsports

Project CARS DLC has been confirmed to be on its way as Slightly Mad Studios reveals that a sequel is very much in progress. Through the use of a crowd funding system, the two games from the franchise are getting their due attention and enhancements. Racing fans will continue to love the game as the original release will soon get new updates and features while a new version is in the works.

Project CARS has been a successful racing simulation video game since its release a few years back. Of course, this is easily expected to happen as it came from Slightly Mad Studios, the same UK-based developer responsible for other games like Need for Speed Shift, and even the GTR titles in the past.

With the use of a crowdfunding system, Project CARS was brought to current gen consoles as well as the PC early in May this year. Shortly after, a sequel has already been announced, with a list of features revealed to give fans an idea on how much better and exciting it will be. This was actually confirmed through the official website of the developer.

For one thing, the new version of the game will have the largest track roster, particularly with more than 200 courses in 50 various locations. Racers will also find the experience more intense as "loose surface" tracks like those of mud, dirt, snow, or even gravel would be featured in the game. Project CARS 2 will also have eight new motorsports, with Hillclimbs, Rallycross, and Touge as newcomers. This will lead to a total of more than 200 cars.

Apart from working on the sequel, Project CARS 1 will also continue to receive patches and updates to keep the game running smoothly and even getting better. Slightly Mad Studios has yet to confirm what this downloadable content would be about. At the same time, a release date for the second title would still be on its way.
