Sam and Dean are set to fight a darker mythology that could finally lead to God's appearance on "Supernatural" season 11. As the Winchesters fight for survival, Castiel continues to hunt Crowley as a result of Rowena's curse.
A lot has happened on the season 10 finale of "Supernatural" and it left viewers with a shocking scene where the Winchesters got sucked by the Darkness together with the Impala.
Earlier in the episode, Death told Dean about the origin of the "Darkness," which dates way back even before the creation of Earth. God and his archangels fought and successfully locked up the "Darkness" using the Mark of Cain as the key. When Rowena removed the Mark through a spell, the Darkness is unleashed.
International Business Times reported that with the introduction of the new mythology, there is a possibility that God will finally appear on "Supernatural". The site noted that since Death mentioned how God and his angels battled hard just to lock up the "Darkness," there's a chance that the Creator himself will once again fight to beat it.
Another burning question for "Supernatural" season 11 is whether Jensen Ackles's Dean Winchester will become the new Grim Reaper after he killed Death last season in order to save Sam. Is he ready to become one of the Horsemen?
As for Castiel and Crowley, co-executive producer Jim Michaels announced that Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard are still series regulars coming season 11, Enstarz reports. The new season of CW's hit series might follow Cas as he continuously hunts the King of Hell due to the spell that Rowena performed on him. But the question is, can Cas and Crowley survive till the end of the new season?
There are already so many questions surrounding the new season of "Supernatural" but there are other speculations about the return of Adam from Lucifer's cage and the possible reunion of John Winchester with his boys. Jeffrey Dean Morgan already aired his willingness to do an episode with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki and it is just up to the writers to make it happen.
"Supernatural" season 11 could be the darkest season that the Winchester will enter with the inclusion of the new and powerful mythology. Will God help Sam and Dean in locking up the Darkness once again? Will Castiel locate Crowley and kill him? An exciting season awaits the fans of CW hit series when it returns this fall.
