Good news for gamers in North America. After Kingdom Hearts X was released in internet browsers only in Japan in 2012. Gamers in the west will soon enjoy playing Kingdom Hearts Unchained X (read as "Unchained Key") in their IOS and android mobile devices.
At the recently held E3 2015, Kingdom Hearts' developer Square Enix have shared the latest trailer of the game to the viewers. Its directors Tetsuya Nomura and Tai Yusue were happy to share more about the game during the Square Enix Presents Livestream.
Compared to its browser counterpart, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will be similar to Kingdom Hearts X, but with noticeable differences. Gamers will identify the variation between the two once they get to play the game. The advantage of having Kingdom Heart Unchained X in tablets and smartphones is that, navigation controls will be easier on a touch-screen device. The fun also starts when the player gets to unlock secrets in the game according to TechTimes.
Siliconera reports that Nomura stated that Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will be the prequel to the Kingdom Hearts series. According to Nomura, the storyline of Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will be linked to the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3, featuring unreleased characters like Alice of Alice in Wonderland. He added that the players will appreciate the game series more once they get to know the new characters incorporated in the game.
Kingdom Hearts Unchained X uses 2D style for its visuals, which is suitable for the Final Fantasy and Disney characters in the game, some of them are Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and even, the Seven Dwarves. App Advice reveals that Kingdom Hearts fans are in for a treat with a new Avatar system, an assortment of outfits to choose from, team play, boss battles, and customized themes and characters.
Square Enix hasn't announced a release date yet for Kingdom Hearts Unchained X but they will reveal more about it in the D23 event that will take place later this year. While Kingdom Hearts 3 is in development for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will be available for free download in Apple stores and Google Play soon.
