After months of waiting, the first trailer for the much awaited The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 had been finally released. A new female character will be revealed in the film and is rumored to hold an important role in the rebellion. Also, several Mockingjay salute billboards have been scattered around the world showing support to the rebellion against President Snow.
"Snow has to die for what he's done. We all have one enemy. He corrupts everyone and everything! He turns the best of us against each other."
These are the words of Katniss Everdeen in the trailer that was released on June 09, which actors of the film, and even the director previously teased in their social media accounts. In the trailer, Annie and Finnick can be seen kissing on their wedding day. It also shows shots of Katniss dancing with her sister Primrose, Peeta and Katniss hugging, and President Snow saying that the game isn't over.
Meanwhile, a new character played by Gwendoline Christie will be introduced in the new film, as revealed in the teaser. Christie will play the role of Commander Lyme, who, in the books, was a former champion of the Hunger Games, and was from District 2 where most military force of the Capitol come from. Lyme will reportedly turn against Capitol and lead the rebellion.
Speaking of rebellion, several billboards have been disseminated around the world showing the 3-fingered salute which represent the people's support to Katniss. The billboards show the hands of different people from different age, gender, and races doing the popular salute. The billboards can be seen in 18 different countries, including United Kingdom, Columbia, Finland, United States, Spain, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Italy.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 star Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, and the late Donald Sutherland under the direction of helsman Francis Lawrence. It is set to hit theaters on November 20, 2015.
