Jimmy Fallon Hospitalized and Undergone Minor Surgery after Left Hand Injury; Currently Recovering and Tweeting Fans for Current Updates

Jimmy Fallon was hospitalized after injuring his left hand Friday morning at his Manhattan apartment. Even though the injury was not that bad, Fallon had a minor surgery to fix the injury on his left hand. His hosted show 'The Tonight Show' then cancelled his Friday taping and would be airing a repeated show.

"Jimmy Fallon was required to have minor surgery after injuring his hand at his Manhattan apartment this morning," a statement by his rep was made on Friday. "He is expected to make a full recovery." The show also posted via Twitter, "Hey guys - unfortunately tonight's taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He's totally fine but we'll be airing a repeat,"

Fallon posted the reason behind his injury on twitter. The host explained how he tripped at home saying, "caught my fall (good thing)! Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing)." He was then hospitalized to an unnamed NYC hospital for his injury and surgery, according to PageSix.

According to futher reports by Eonline, the funny host constantly post on his twitter account that he is doing okay. He even posted a picture of his injured hand wrapped up for recovery saying: "Tweeting with one hand" then he posted again thanking his fans and friends praying for him "#drugged #blessed...I'm doing well and thanks for good wishes everyone."

Before the incident happened at Fallon's crib in Manhattan, he was seen dining and snapping some few photos. As being reported by theWrap, the host was spotted at a restaurant called 'Scalinatella' located at Manhattan's Upper East Side on Thursday night.

For now, the talk show host is now recovering from his injury and minor hand surgery. The Tonight Show announced via twitter that tickets for the show that was canceled will be contacted for a resched.
