Cyberpunk 2077 is being set into motion as developer CD Projekt RED is starting to put more people to work on the title. The company is the same one that brought The Witcher 3. The next focus for the said DLC would be the upcoming content, so apart from the core team, there have been other individuals brought to put more action into Cyberpunk.
Martin Iwinski, who is the co-founder of CD Projekt RED informed IGN, "The core team is working The Witcher 3's expansions, but more people are moving over onto Cyberpunk." While this is the case, there is still barely anything to grasp about the title because it is still very early in its development. The most that fans could get from this is the information that it is being worked on and will be arriving in a couple of years' time.
The expected release date for Cyberpunk 2077 would be within the year 2017, as noted in VG 24/7. This is because this year and 2016 have been deemed as "years of the Witcher" according to the developer. With this in mind, the reason why Cyberpunk was even brought out to be a topic of discussion was for CD Projekt RED to find out how gamers will receive the news.
In the interview, Iwinski elaborated, "We released the Cyberpunk teaser trailer because we wanted to see how gamers felt about it." He mentioned that his team on the inside was very excited about the idea of delivering the game, but they wanted to be sure that players would end up responding the same way. True enough, fans showed enthusiasm towards the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 will be in the works.
Cyberpunk 2077 was first made known in May 2012, where it was announced by CD Projekt RED. Later that year, the title has been made official. By the start of 2013, a cinematic trailer was released. There are a lot of details to find out about this game so players should keep themselves posted.
