Final Fantasy VII Remake is still currently under development so all information about just comes in bits and pieces in order to give fans the thrill of waiting. One of the new bits released is from a recent interview with Final Fantasy Director Tetsuya Nomura who says the game won't be a direct recreation of the whole thing and he also said that no new characters will be coming to the remake.
Last E3 2015, the Final Fantasy VII remake received very positive feedback from pretty much everyone who heard the news and they're saving up for this game which will be coming to the PS4. Although fans were expecting new characters, Techtimes reports that Tetsuya Nomura confirmed in an interview with Famitsu that no new characters will be entering the scene this time. "There won't be new characters," he told Famitsu (via Gematsu). "As for the visual taste, we're doing them to match today's visuals and appear closer to reality."
As for the gameplay, Nomura also gave a hint on what the team doing with the turn-based system. According to TechnoBuffalo, Nomura said: "I can't share details, but we're changing it to a more realistic system." This might leave those who missed the turn-based system disappointed. It might have a more fluid battling system like the upcoming Final Fantasy XV.
Because Final Fantasy VII is such an iconic game, balancing the fresh and classic feel of the game is not an easy task but Nomura and the team are not just going to do a mere visual upgrade. Nomura told Wired that: "In terms of taking a such an iconic game and giving it a fresh feel, we can't go into too much detail but we're not intending for this to become a one-to-one remake... We don't want to interfere with what makes the original title so iconic... My goal with the remake is to make it apply to the current era..."
The current changes in Final Fantasy VII offers an interesting and modern take on the gameplay of the RPG game. Fans of the game series are definitely going to have a new experience from the game.
