Dead or Alive 5 gets numerical proof of how well-loved it is by fans. The worldwide sales of the game, which originally came out in 2012, were able to reach more than a million, with a completely different number for the free-to-play version. As for the Last Round multiplayer update, Ninja Team has made some last minute messages, saying that this would be delayed.
Dead or Alive 5 has been coming back again and again with some surprises since its release for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 in 2012. To date, there are already other versions such as Plus, Ultimate, as well as Last Round. Based on a write-up on a dedicated games website, the title was able to reach 1.5 million units sold.
At the same time, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters, which is the F2P of the game, reached 3.5 units sold all over the world. The said title was launched together with Last Round, as followers of the franchise would know.
Players of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round have certainly been waiting for this moment. As mentioned in another report, the patch which would have the online multiplayer feature would be launched some time until the end of June. This was because the game came out for the PC through Steam last March. Team Ninja noted that the patch could be expected within three months.
However, the three-month release window has already closed, and there is no patch at hand. The developer explained, "Due to major issues found during the beta test, we will be postponing the release of the update. We apologize for the last minute notification and regret deeply the trouble we have caused our Steam customers who were looking forward to the online functionality."
