Katy Perry is on a roll. The 'Roar' singer's bank account is sizzling, and she isn't showing any signs of stopping any time soon.
Katy Perry earned the No. 3 spot in Forbes' Highest Paid Celebrity List. She came behind champion boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. According to the magazine, the artist earned $135 million from touring for the past year, earning more than frenemy Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna combined.
The brunette is proud of her achievement and credits her success to her strong entrepreneurial skills. The singer said that she also credits her success to her domination of the pop charts.
"I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company," Perry told the magazine. "I'm an entrepreneur... I don't want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls."
The magazine also reported that the singer's Prismatic World Tour consisted of 124 shows. Her manager said that 60% of her income comes from foreign markets. Perry is also the face of brands such as CoverGirl, Adidas, and Moschino.
"One thing I've been able to do is know the power of having equity deals," Perry continued. "I don't ever like to do things unless I'm really a part of them."
Perry is also willing to go to court-against two nuns in a battle for property. The singer had set her eyes on the former convent, but the nuns aren't willing to give it up without a fight.
Catherine Rose and Rita Callahan, Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary are finding themselves against L.A. Archbishop Jose Gomez. The archbishop claims that both nuns have no selling powers and is giving them the order to turn over the villa-style hilltop convent to Katy for $14.5 million in cash.
However both nuns refuse to sell the property to Perry because of the singer's suggestive songs and lifestyle. The nuns claimed that they had purchased the property decades before from a benefactor.
"Well, I found Katy Perry and I found her videos ... if it's all right to say, I wasn't happy with any of it," said Sister Rita.
Katy has yet to speak about the sale of the property.
