This coming July 27, the OnePlus 2 will launch entirely in virtual reality. OnePlus has confirmed that its launching will be done once again through an invite-only system, just as it did with the OnePlus One.
OnePlus 2 is the confirmed successor to OnePlus One. After confirming that we'd see a USB-C port in this new device, it indicates that OnePlus 2 is shaping up to be an interesting Android handset. Furthermore, OnePlus has stated that a fingerprint sensor that's "faster than Touch ID" will be featured to this second generation smartphone as well.
The OnePlus 2 will legitimately come operating the OxygenOS. This is based on pure Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. A buttery smooth experience with all the positives of running pure Android is expected to be its result.
According to androidpit, a Snapdragon 810 will be the CPU used in the OnePlus 2. As OnePlus said in their forum: ''We worked very closely with Qualcomm's engineers to integrate an improved version of the chipset (v2.1) in the OnePlus 2, and both hardware and software modified. Keep your fingers crossed that thermal throttling is not an issue anymore, because Oneplus 2 is expected to be "cooler than ever.''
In addition, a 13-megapixel rear camera on the OnePlus 2, instead of a 16-megapixel camera was hinted by a Chinese benchmark website. While its other speculated specifications incorporated a 3300mAh battery; 4G LTE; GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and OTG connectivity.
OnePlus 2 is also rumoured to feature an Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB of RAM and either a Full HD or QHD 5.5-inch display.
According to a report, the OnePlus 2 will be priced same as the original, at (or around) 299/349 USD for the two versions. While The CEO of OnePlus said that 2499.99 Yuan would be a reasonable price for the OnePlus 2, which converts to £260, as he discussed this pricing in May over Weibo.
