HTC One M9 Developer Edition owners can now experience the advantage of the newest software, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop after series of speculations. As expected, there will be a series of enhancements and bug fixes to make the device running smoothly. It requires nearly 800MB, so, users must be aware that a steady Wi-Fi connection is a must.
Android Authority reports that the software can bring several improvements on the device's features including camera and battery enhancements. Users will also be experiencing better performance of their handsets with data performance and call drop improvements.
Aside from the usual updates, major changes are also expected that users will certainly appreciate.
"Temperature Management Optimization" is set to make the heat management better since HTC One M9 Developer Edition is an all-metal device that easily picks up heat with its Snapdargon 810 CPU.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update for HTC One M9 Developer Edition also includes color temperature control for the display that could only be seen on a monitor or a television. A multi-user support introduces improved sound controls where one can put the device on a "Do not disturb mode" while the alarm is still working. Users can also expect new UI animations, according to Phandroid.
After Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update for HTC One M9 Developer Edition has rolled out, there has been no update yet as to when users with carrier branded device can expect the upgrade to take effect. It could be anytime soon until August, Android Origin reports.
International Business Times notes that users of HTC One M9 Developer Edition should simply do the following steps in order to receive an update: Select, "Yes, Download" option >> After downloading, select >> "Install now". After the handset restarts on its own, the phone is already updated to a new OS version.
HTC One M9 Developer Edition was previously running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop when it was previously released in March.
