Fans will once again witness Peter Parker in action as a new Spider-Man Reboot is coming up. The upcoming reboot is said to focus on the younger Peter, and will include new villains. Spider-Man will also appear in the big screen soon, as he is set to make his debut in Captain America: Civil War.
The web-slinging hero will once again be seen in action, but this time, as a teenage kid who possess an extraordinary gift. Casting for the role had been finalized as the 19 year old British actor, Tom Holland had been chosen to play the role of the young Peter Parker.
The upcoming Spider-Man reboot will reportedly be inspired by films of the famous director John Hughes, whose works include Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. "It's the soap opera in high school, and those supporting characters, that are interesting," Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige said.
"Just as we hadn't seen a heist movie in a long time, or a shrinking movie in a long time, we haven't seen a John Hughes movie in a long time. Not that we can make a John Hughes movie-only John Hughes could-but we're inspired by him, and merging that with the superhero genre in a way we haven't done before excites us." he added.
The Spider-Man reboot will reportedly not include an origin story and will feature new heroes that fans have never come across with, although, the identities of these new super villains have not been revealed yet. Aside from that, rumors suggest that the upcoming movie might include the appearance of Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. Despite that it has not been confirmed yet, Tony Stark's appearance in the upcoming Spider-Man will support another report that Spidey might be the next member of the Avengers.
But before he stars in his standalone film, Spider-Man still has to make his MCU debut in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. However, no details have been released yet as to what Spider-Man might be doing in the movie.
The upcoming Spider-Man reboot is set to be directed by Jon Watts and based from the comic books written by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee slated to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
