"Silicon Valley" season 3 will be dealing with the aftermath of last season's cliffhanger where Thomas Middleditch's Richard Hendricks got fired from his own company. Creator Mike Judge hinted a brewing ugly battle next season between Richard and the firm, Raviga, and even expressed his dream to get Mark Zuckerberg do a cameo on the show.
Towards the end of the season finale, Richard received a phone call that he is being ditched from being the CEO of his company in the midst of the celebration for his courtroom victory. Creator Mike Judge told Entertainment Weekly that the cliffhanger will surely be dealt with on "Silicon Valley" season 3 as Richard and Raviga Capital, which now owns 3 seats on the Pied Piper board, engage in an 'ugly battle.'
"Raviga now has the right to hire whoever they want as CEO because they can outvote the others. And it is most likely going to turn into some kind of ugly battle," says Judge.
However, he admits that their team has not yet planned the entire next season's plot. He still has no definite answer as their team just put the season 2 finale events out there not knowing exactly where to go next.
Since the sitcom focuses with both the business and technical side of technology industry, Mike Judge is usually asked about the possibility of tech giants to make a cameo on the show. The creator admits that he would want Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to appear in the HBO sitcom since he is a "quintessential tech guy" says Judge to The Hollywood Reporter.
In April, HBO greenlit the sitcom's third season a day after the premiere of its sophomore season. According to the official announcement posted by HBO Watch, "Silicon Valley" season 3 is set to return on spring of 2016.
Richard Hendricks won't back down easily against Raviga Capital, the firm that threw him out of his own company, causing a battle next season said creator Mike Judge. The showrunner of the Emmy-nominated series said that if given a chance, he would want Mark Zuckerberg to make a cameo in his show. "Silicon Valley" season 3 will premiere on HBO by spring of 2016.
