CW has already announced that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will be premiering this October 8 with its unchanged slot, which is every Thursday. According to reports, the plot this season will be focusing on the romance between Stefan and Caroline and that Damon will find a way to move on from the exit of Nina Dobrev's character, Elena.
According to Vine Report, the executive producer of the show, Julie Plec, talked about the show's focus on Caroline, played by Candice Accola. She shared during the 2015 ATX Television Festival that Caroline is this girl who has been trying so hard but she is already over that phase and that she will eventually be the one that "gets picked first," thus the signal that the show will be about her character being the focus of the upcoming season of "The Vampire Diaries."
Caroline was actually one of the least favorite characters of the show's previous seasons but when she became a vampire, her personality changed 360 degrees. She has developed a romantic relationship with Stefan towards the end of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 and fans are waiting for it to develop and blossom into a more romantic one. Stefan did reveal his true feelings for her but it remains to be unknown if she will also reveal her feelings for him as she still needs to grieve her mother's death, IBTimes reported.
As for Damon, Ian Somerhalder shared, "Elena told him some things that allow him to move on. He's a 170-year-old man with an endless amount of wisdom."
Meanwhile, Melty interviewed Kat Graham, the actress playing the character of Bonnie Bennett, and she was asked about what she wanted to change when it comes to the ending of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. She noted that she wanted to change so many things but she respected the writers and the producers so much that she could not comment publicly about it.
