Get ready to be spooked out as The Conjuring 2 is underway and is set to hit theaters next year. Lorraine and Ed Warren will be back to help another family who experiences unexplainable and terrifying events. Casting call previously conducted revealing hints about the characters that fans should look out for in the upcoming film.
After the 2013 film "The Conjuring" became a worldwide box office hit, another movie is coming up and it will be based on another "true story" of the infamous, The Enfield Poltergeist. The said poltergeist happened in the 1970s, in North London, and later became the most documented poltergeist, which became the basis for the book, 'This House is Haunted', and the tv drama 'The Enfield haunting'.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be back to reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren who will try to deal with the inexplicable events and the spirits lurking in the house. The movie is said to be filmed in Los Angeles, California and in London.
Casting call was previously made for 4 roles in the movie. The actors sought were for the characters of children of the Hodgson family, Janet, Margaret, Billy, and Johnny.
For the role of Janet, they were looking for an 11 year old child, and described the character as "a thoughtful and curious girl from Enfield, London. Working class." They specified that they were looking for an exceptional child with emotional intelligence for the role.
Meanwhile, for the role of Margaret, they were looking for a 14 year old girl, and described the character as "the oldest Hodgson child. She is a sympathetic and supportive young woman. She is academic and mature."
As for the role of Johnny, they were looking for a 10 year old boy, who can play as a boy who is " quick-witted and picks fights with his siblings. He is a good footballer - boyish." While for the role of Billy, the youngest of the Hodgson family, they were looking for an 8 year old boy who can play as a boy who has a stutter. They also described his character as " cute and playful - the baby of the family."
Although there are no official reports about the cast yet, filming for the movie is said to begin later this year.
The Conjuring 2 is set to be directed by James Wan, and co-written by Charey Hayes, Chad Hayes, and David Johnson. Look for the movie in theaters on June 10, 2016.
