Grace Potter, former Nocturnal band member goes solo. She is proving herself that she's worth something, as she's a frequent opening act in some big music events. Kenny Chesney's 'Wild Child' even topped the chart when Grace Potter sang with him before the summer solstice finally opened. Potter also had a chance to have a duet performance with the Rolling Stones founder and member Mick Jagger.

Grace Potter is now going solo from being a part of the band the Nocturnals. They were only three in her former band, with Matt Burr and Scott Tournet as drummer and guitarist, respectively. Potter, a multi-instrumentalist known for her talent, has a voice range that belongs to the rock genre.

Just before the summer solstice began, Grace Potter had some solo act opening performance with some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Kenny Chesney, Neil Young and the Rolling Stones were a few of the big time names she had performed with.

According to jsonline.com via phone interview with Potter, she said "I went to stay in Chicago, had a great couple of days there. And then I looked at Kenny's schedule and I went up there. We'd been trying to contact for months."

Grace Potter will release her solo album with a title "Midnight." Potter also said "I found myself going toward music that was very singular to my voice, my narrative, my perspective...my stories. These are not universal songs that sound like the Nocturnals."

Meanwhile, Grace Potter got the chance to perform with the rock legend Rolling Stones where of course she sang along with Mick Jagger. She first opened for the band, and then later on joined them in singing 'Gimme Shelter.' Potter posted a video clip of their performance, where she put a caption "DREAMS DO COME TRUE."
