Filming of Underworld: Next Generation in Prague this October; Selene's Daughter Eve the Main Focus of Sequel?

By

The war between lycans and vampires continue in Underworld: Next Generation. Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene while actor Theo James is also coming back to reprise his role as David. The movie is also said to focus on Selene's daughter, Eve.

Although there is no official plot release yet, just like how the title suggest, Underworld: Next Generation is said to be about the younger generations of Lycans and vampires, continuing the seemingly endless fight between their races. Aside from the continuation of the war, the story of the movie is also said to center on Selene's daughter, Eve, as she is said to play as the protagonist in the movie.

As of writing, two actors have been confirmed to be part of the cast. Kate Beckinsale who has been the face of most of the movies in the franchise, is coming back to reprise her role as the Vampire-Cornivus Strain Hybrid, Selene. Apart from Beckinsale,

Theo James is also coming back for his role as David, although, he previously said that he will not be coming back in the franchise due to his commitments for the Divergent franchise.

Reports suggest that Theo James' David might be playing a big part in the war between Lycans and vampires since in 'Awakening', much of his coven have been killed and so his character might serve as one of the driving forces in the war.

Underworld: Next Generation is set to be directed by Anna Foerster who will be making her directorial debut in the film. Foerster previously worked as Director of Photography and Second Unit Director in the past and her works include White House Down, 2012, and The Day After Tomorrow.

Filming for Underworld: Next Generation will be this October in Prague. No official release date has been announced yet, although, the film is said to likely be released in 2016 or 2017. More details about the film is expected to be revealed in the upcoming months.
