Dr. Henry Jones Jr. is soon to embark on another adventure in search of new artifacts as Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that Indiana Jones 5 is happening. Actor Chris Pratt has been rumored to take on the lead role, but Harrison Ford might be replaced.
It's been a while since fans last saw Indiana Jones in the big screen, the last movie being Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which was released in 2008. But now that Disney has acquired Lucasfilm, another Indiana Jones movie is said to be released, although there are no confirmations yet whether it be a sequel of previous four films or a reboot.
"It will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it," said Lucas film President Kathleen Kennedy.
Meanwhile, rumors suggest that actor Chris Pratt might take the lead role in the movie replacing Harrison Ford. His performance in Jurassic World reportedly impressed execs, and so he is now the strongest competitor for the role. But even with the persistent reports, actor Chris Pratt revealed that he has not received any calls about the film yet.
Pratt previously went on a tv guesting where he was asked about the movie. "Interesting...I don't remember going over that....I don't know, that's....this movies is...to get to your question, Jurassic World opens on June 12," he jokingly answered.
However, he did tease that he missed one phone call, and said that it hopefully wasn't the offer for the movie, "Well, I have no answer to it, I don't know, I mean, no one has....I missed a phone call the other day, unknown number. I hope it wasn't him." he said.
Aside from Pratt, American Sniper actor Bradley Cooper is also rumored to be considered for the role.
Although there is no official release date announced yet, the movie is rumored to be released in 2018. More details about Indiana Jones 5 are expected to be released in the coming months.
