The girl on fire, and now, the face of the rebellion is sure ready to take over the Capitol in the new poster released online for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Posters for the upcoming San Diego Comic Con have also been revealed.
She is ready and she's taking President Snow down. A poster was released online for the upcoming instalment of The Hunger Games franchise.
It shows Katniss Everdeen wearing an all-red ensemble, ready for battle with red breast plates and bow and arrow. She is sitting on President Snow's all white chair, contrasting the color with her bright red attire. "Imagine Tomorrow. #Unite" the photo's caption read. The photo is also said to appear in the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.
The concept of the new poster seem to directly connect to the other poster previously released where President Snow's statue broken down and destroyed, with his head laid in the ground, and the Mockingjay symbol found behind the throne.
Also, photos were also released showing the cast members with red paint on their faces, eyes looking like they're ready for battle. In the upcoming installment, Katniss teams up with his closest friends and other Districts to take down the Capitol and President Snow.
The official movie synopsis for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 reads,
"With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Hutcherson) - Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games."
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is the final film in the installment and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, and others. It is set to hit theaters on November 15.
