'House Of Cards' Season 4 Update: Frank Underwood Expected To Run For President, Will New Characters Hinder Frank's Plans?

By

"House of Cards" Season 3 ended dramatically after Claire Underwood said that she was leaving Frank for good due to his vicious behaviors he has been exhibiting towards his partner in crime. Season 4 is expected to see Frank run for President but fans believe that the new characters to be introduced in the upcoming episodes of the show will be hindering him from reaching his goals.

Vine Report shared that "House of Cards" Season 3 also showed that Heather Dunbar has been getting a lot of support as her candidacy against Underwood has gotten stronger. Jackie Sharp dropped out of the presidential bid and pledged her alliance to Dunbar instead.

In a report by Pop Matters, Frank Underwood's popularity has been falling in the previous season and it just might get worse for him in the upcoming season as Claire could ask for divorce from him and this will be the opening scene for Season 4.

The creator of the show, Beau Willimon, said in a statement about Claire and Frank's marriage: "If the marriage seems to be on the rocks to the degree that it is; the natural questions are: Are Frank and Claire going to get back together? What does it look like when they are not working together? Well, I know, but you don't know; and I'm not gonna tell anyone else quite yet."

However, this might not be a possibility since Claire does not want to be a First Lady so Frank aims to name her the United Nations ambassador.

Meanwhile, the new characters who will be introduced in "House of Cards" Season 4 might make Frank have a more difficult time with his goals. It was previously reported that Kevin Spacey and Neve Campbell have been casted as series regulars and they are deemed to go against Claire and Frank Underwood.

"House of Cards" Season 4 will be returning on Netflix this 2016.
