'Suicide Squad' Update: Leaked Comic Con Trailer Features Jared Leto's Joker In Action; Clown Prince manipulates from behind bars

By

The fans have finally taken their first look on the most popular comic book-based anti-hero team at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday after DC has revealed an exclusive trailer of "Suicide Squad". While it may have featured all of the supervillains in the upcoming film, what seems to have become the highlight of the 3-minute footage was the first live-action glimpse of Jared Leto's Joker. David Ayer's highly anticipated superhero flick is slated to hit theaters August next year.

Even though Jared Leto ("Requiem For A Dream", "30 Seconds to Mars", "Dallas Buyers Club") has not made an appearance at Warner Bro's Comic Con-panel, the presence of the actor was still all over the Hall H after his character, Joker, was featured in the "Suicide Squad" teaser. According to Comic Book's description, Leto's Joker then came into the frame after hearing the iconic laugh of the psychopath super villain in the closing moments of the video.

He was seen holding what looked like electrical paddles in his hands, and was speaking to someone who might have been his captive in the featured scene. The fans then hear the first words the Clown Prince of Crime say in the growing DC Cinematic Universe. "Oh, I'm not going to kill ya. Im just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad", he said with the most insane and terrifying look anyone can have in their eyes.

The Joker is a Hannibal Lecter-type of nemesis who takes advantage of the players from behind the bars of his containment chamber. Cinema Blend notes that Amanda Waller (Viola Davis of "How To Get Away With Murder") has locked him away after Batman caged him. However, in the 3-minute clip, he appears to be not in isolation or a straightjacket which the fans are thrillingly looking forward to discern once it hits theaters.

Apart from Leto, the trailer also features the rest of the members of the Suicide Squad, including Will Smith ("Independence Day", "Bad Boys", "Men In Black") as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman ("Robocop", "The Killing", "Safe House") as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie ("Neighbours", "The Wolf of Wall Street", "About Time") as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney ("Divergent", "Jack Reacher", "A Good Day to Die Hard") as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne ("Anna Karenina", "Grand Theft Auto V") as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje ("Thor: the Dark World", "Lost", "The Bourne Identity") as Killer Croc, , Jay Hernandez ("Hostel", "Quarantine", "The Rookie") as El Diablo, and Adam Beach ("Cowboys & Aliens", "Flags of our Fathers", "Windtalkers") as Slipknot. According to Coming Soon, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Raymond Olubowale, Alex Meraz, Jim Parrack are rumored to make an appearance in the flick as well.

"Suicide Squad" is helmed by David Ayer and is scheduled to open in cinemas August 5, next year.
