While the fans are already excited for the highly anticipated "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" which will open in theaters March next year, DC has another live-action movie in store that the fans of the Caped Crusader should look forward to as well. Another "Dark Knight" standalone feature film initially titled "The Batman" is on its way to the big screen once again, but this time the superhero actor Ben Affleck will be sitting on the director's chair with "Dawn of Justice" scribe Chris Terrio assuming the writing duties.
Recently, a photo of what appears to be an official Warner Bros. document has been leaked online. As per Design & Trends' report, the file features some information about the production of the long-rumored Batman movie. Though the document has not been verified, the said details written on it fits with the earlier speculations regarding the movie which is tentatively entitled "The Batman".
The movie which is allegedly slated to be released on November 2018 will see Ben Affleck team up with Chris Terrio, who is also doing the writing duties of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice". Inquistr noted that the two have already worked together on the critically acclaimed and award-winning movie "Argo" where Affleck had the directorial baton.
Though there is no confirmation yet for the legitimacy of the leaked file, assuming that the movie will be helmed by the two award-winning filmmakers makes it something to look forward to. For the meantime, the fans can get their first look at Affleck in the Batman suit when "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" arrives in theaters on March 25, 2016.
As previously reported, "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" will also star Henry Cavill ("Immortals", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E") as Superman, Gal Gadot ("Fast and Furious 6") as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg ("The Social Network", "Now You See Me") as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Amy Adams ("Enchanted", "American Hustle") as Lois Lane.
Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller are also rumored to appear in the upcoming film as the sea-dwelling super, Aquaman and the Scarlet Speedster, the Flash.
