Tyrant Season 2 episode 5 aired this week. The Celeb Dirty Laundry did a recap on the episode, entitled 'A Viper in the Palace' whichrevealed that mother and son Molly Al-Fayeed and Samuel Al-Fayeed have traveled to Abbudin to address the latter's inheritance issues. Meanwhile, Jamal is caught up with Abbudin top military leader Tariq over the country's military strategies.
Tyrant Season 2 episode 5 shows the viewers that Barry has well-adjusted to his life in Abbudin. However, he is still living in fear that the Army of the Caliphate would one day learn of his identity. The Celeb Dirty Laundry further discussed how Barry's older brother Jamal has been facing trouble against Abbudin's military leader Tariq. Jamal also faces even more trouble as it has been revealed in the previous episode that he has fathered many sons, posing an even greater threat to the inheritance.
The episode also shows the viewers that Barry's wife and son, Molly and Sammy, have traveled to Abbudin in order to address his inheritance issues. On the other hand, activists against the Al-Fayeed family Ihab and Samira fail to exit the country. They then join an extremist group aim to bring down the Abbudin state.
The story of the TV series Tyrant revolves around the life of Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed, played by Adam Rayner, who is the youngest son of a tyrant who ruled over a fictional Arab country called Abbudin. Barry has since then left his hometown and has worked as a pediatrician in the United States. He also marries an American woman named Molly who is played by Jennifer Finnigan, and has a son with her named Samuel who is played by Noah Silver. Barry only returns to Abbudin to attend his nephew's wedding, but is caught up in some political turmoil after his father passed in the midst of a rising revolution in the country. His older brother, Jamal played by Ashraf Barhom, takes over their father and is equally as tyrannical and brutal.
Tyrant Season 2's next episode, which will be directed by Kari Skogland and will be written by David Fury, is due to air next week on July 21. In this episode entitled 'The Other Brother', Barry will attempt to make a stand against the Caliphate while Jamal will seek aid from the Chinese for military support.
