Xbox One is to brace itself for a roller coaster adventure that is Scalebound. Made by none other than Platinum Games responsible for games such as Bayonetta 2 and Vanquish, an up and coming reimagining of monster slaying is to come to the household of all gamers willing to take the challenge. The game remains a mystery, however, but a simple formula to remind all of such is at hand; time equals answers.
Kotaku has dished out informative back stories as to give a brief background of what goes inside the mind of the creator, Hideki Kamiya, to come up with such a dramatically awesome idea. Mr. Kamiya was quoted in an interview, "When I was in high school, I really enjoyed sword and sorcery fantasy games like Sorcerian on my computer. For some reason I've never had a chance to express that sort of love - I mean, I've had plenty of opportunities to make games - but with Scalebound, I'm able to."
To further elaborate, he also said, "I actually didn't notice that until it was pointed out. We didn't really go into this with the intent of 'let's make a fantasy game.' Rather, we focused on developing the game we wanted to make and it happened to be a fantasy game."
Dragons, according to the developers, will play significantly valuable roles in the game, as agreed upon by Mr. Kamiya. He looks to establish that connection between player and character, that dragons in the game will be more than just sidekicks or accessories, but will make a strong link as more of a partnership than anything else. Thanks to Gamespot, the game along with others that are on the list of those to be announced and released, fans now have an idea of where the game stands as of the moment.
It was a surprising turn when Scalebound was not at all found during the E3 2015. However, it is a fact that Scalebound and a few other games were listed in the GamesCom lineup of appearances. A quick trailer was also brought about and can be seen on Games Radar, wherein it exhibits a somewhat "How to Train Your Dragon" vibe in it.
Atsushi Inaba, the game producer, could not expose any new valid information as to when the game will be out, some in-game updates or previews apart from what was already exposed. He did claim, however, that they will not prolong the audiences' struggle when it comes to release dates. Until then, fans are most likely to stay put and acknowledge any news regarding the game and whatever may come forth.
