‘Naruto Shippuden’ Episode 420 Features Epic Taijutsu Battle Between Guy and Madara; Dai's secrets revealed

Naruto Shippuden episode 420 is about to showcase one of this season's most epic battles. 'The Eight Inner Gates Formation', as the title suggest, would be about Maito Guy unleashing his all as he goes head to head with Rikudo Sennin Madara. After some flashback episodes, fans will finally be brought back to the scene of action with this showdown.

The episodes prior to episode 420 surely acted as a prelude to the upcoming climactic episode. The News Hub's recap of episode 419 entitled 'Papa's Youth' takes us to Guy's youth as he struggles with becoming a legitimate shinobi knowing that he can only perform taijutsu. The episode shows us how his father Dai encourages him to work hard and persevere amidst this obstacle. Guy eventually managed toto enter the Ninja Academy where he later on meets his long time rival, Hatake Kakashi.

Episode 419 also shows Dai's struggle as he fails to advance in his ninja life while his son achieves success. Despite this, Dai was able to ultimately teach his son the secret technique of taijutsu-the Lotus Style. He then shows Guy the ability to unlock the Eight Inner Chakra Gates which would aid in unleashing his full potential as a taijutsu user. It is later on revealed during the last parts of the episode that Dai had sacrificed himself to save Guy by unlocking the Eight Inner Chakra Gates which has been known to kill its users.

Naruto Shippuden episode 420, according to Yibada, finally brings the viewers to the present day war as Guy reenacts his father's actions by unlocking the Eight Inner Chakra gates which has been known to increase the strength of agility of its user a hundred-fold. Unfortunately for its user, death becomes the final destination once all the gates have been released.
