Everybody's favorite archaeologist will soon appear in the big screen once again for Indiana Jones 5 with the famous character recently topping latest poll of greatest movie characters for Empire magazine. Lucasfilm's president previously revealed that it will happen and rumor mill suggests Jurassic World actor Chris Pratt might lead the upcoming installment.
Indiana Jones is set for another adventure in search of an ancient artifact. The popular badass archaelogist recently bagged the top spot in the recent poll of top ten greatest movie characters, which was participated by 10,000 film fans for Empire Magazine.
Along with Indy, some of the fan-favorite characters who also made it to the top 10 are (2) James Bond, (3) Han Solo, (4) Batman, (5) Ellen Ripley, (6) The Joker, (7) John McClane, (8) Tyler Durden, (9) Darth Vader, and (10) The Big Lebowski's The Dude.
The news about the upcoming Indiana Jones fifth installment was personally made by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy,. Last May, she revealed as saying, "the movie will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."
Following the news, rumors have now surfaced that actor Chris Pratt might replace actor Harrison Ford in the lead role, especially after the success of Jurassic World. But Pratt also revealed in most recent reports about the movie that he has not received any offer for the film yet.
No official announcements have been made yet regarding the upcoming film's cast, director, plot, or release datem although a trustworthy source reportedly told the website Ain't It Cool that the film might be heading for a release in the fourth quarter of 2018.
It has not been clarified yet whether the upcoming film will be a reboot or a sequel. Confirmed details are scarce as of now, and fans continue to wait for new details. More updates about Indiana Jones 5 are expected to be released in the coming months.
