The controversial artist, Miley Cyrus has shared that she will be hosting VMAs 2015. After 2 years, VMA will have a host once again. The last one was Kevin Hart on 2012 and for the succeeding years, the show didn't invite anyone to host the big event.
On Monday, Cyrus posted a fun photo wherein she mentioned that MTV would not let her perform, that's why she is hosting this year's VMA. It is actually a split photo where Cyrus wears an alien costume from head to toe carrying a sign 'MTV won't let me perform'. The second half of the photo, Cyrus removed her alien-head costume, now carrying a sign that says 'So, I'm hosting this year's VMA'.
Meanwhile, Variety recalled the unforgettable moments Cyrus made in the annual music awards. In 2013, she received mixed comments from viewers when she made a seemingly 'sensual' performance of Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke. But last year, a lot of people praised her when she offered her award to a homeless guy, Jesse Helt. And the heartfelt scene gave birth to Cyrus' Happy Hippie Organization that aims to help those who are in need.
Prior to her well-known and intriguing appearances in VMA, the now 22 year -old singer actually attended the show when she was just 15 years old. In a post from MTV, it was mentioned that in 2008, Cyrus was up for Best New Artist, competing against Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Clearly, she is not a newbie at VMAs.
According to Eonline, people should expect something different now that Cyrus will be hosting the event. There could be cat heads or twerking. No one know yet. But this is what makes it more exciting and true enough, the people are now guessing what explosive antics Cyrus will give the audience.
The 2015 VMAs will air on MTV this August 30 at 9PM.
