Motorola Moto G 2015 has been revealed with key specifications before even hitting the shelves on July 28. The third-generation Moto G smartphone is slated to have a waterproof build, 5-inch screen display, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB in-house storage capacity, and more leaks from sources.
A luxury of information has been let out in the wild for Moto G 2015 smartphone as it nears its grand launching in New York next week. The most resonant feature leaked so far is the waterproof capacity of the device's chassis.
First rumored earlier this month, the waterproof chassis is unlikely for a mid-range smartphone which makes Moto G 2015 a killer device in its line. Tech site Mobile Syrup first revealed two images of Moto G 2015's dummy unit.
According to reports, these images will be used as promotional advertisement in Canada. One photo already confirmed the veracity of the phone's waterproof capacity showing the IPX7 certification.
The water resistance of the phone can survive up to 1 meter depth in 30 minutes. The phone however is not dustproof.
In terms of the random memory access, leaks have split hint that the phone will house either 1 or 2 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, a popular Indian import-export tracker database reports that 190 units of Moto G 2015 were shipped from Hong Kong to India. Of the 190 units, 90 were dressed white while the other 90 black.
According to the tracker, the shipped units of Moto G 2015 is "for evaluation and testing in the local offshore development/testing centers." As per report, the device will feature a 2 GB of RAM, an 8 GB of in-house storage and a 5-inch screen display.
The third-generation Moto G will retain its 4G ability, quad-core processor, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front shooter and a 2,470 mAh battery. In another report, the Motorola Moto G 2015 is pegged at $240 for the white version and $238 for the black version.
Motorola's high-end smartphone Moto X and DROID smartphones will also be revealed along with Moto G 2015.
