iZombie Season 2 spoilers have revealed that at least one Veronica Mars star will be joining the cast of the new season of iZombie. In addition, a possible guest appearance from a very popular actress from Veronica Mars might be dropping by the new iZombie season as well.
Design and Trend reported that iZombie Season 2 will be welcoming Veronica Mars star Adam Rose as a new member of the iZombie cast. According to iZombie series creator Rob Thomas' San Diego Comic Con update, Rose will become a cast member of iZombie as he has been set to play the role of an artistic and sensitive hipster named Byron McCoy. It has also been revealed that his appearance in the show will be significant to solving a murder case in the new season.
Aside from Rose, Thomas also told reporters that fans can expect Liv's father to make an appearance in the new season. Ever since fans were left wondering what will happen to Evan after the season one finale, there have been hints that Liv's father could possibly be the one to save Evan's life in the new season.
iZombie fans were also quite excited when Thomas talked about the upcoming storyline for season 2. During TV Overmind's roundtable interview with Thomas at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con, the show's creator discussed the similarities and differences of the TV series with the original Vertigo graphic novel series that it was based off of. He also discussed how the new season will be more mythology-based instead of showcasing a usual procedural theme that features a singular case of the week per episode.
As for the old characters of the series, David Anders sat down with Fashion and Style to talk about his character Blaine DeBeers, the series' main antagonist. Anders mentioned that the fans of the series will finally be introduced to a more humanly side to Blaine as season two will be showing viewers Blaine's family members as well as Blaine's enjoyment of being a human. This humanly transformation in season two will also change his relationship with the show's protagonist, Liv Moore (played by Rose McIver).
iZombie Season 2 will be returning to the CW Network this October 15.
