Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is the latest installment to the Rainbow Six video game franchise featuring multiplayer-focused tactical first-person shooter that focuses heavily on teamplay and realism inspired by real world counter-terrorism missions.

The game takes players in sieges that feature five-versus-five gameplay between terrorists and counter-terrorist operatives. It is considered by many as the direct successor of the Rainbow 6: Patriots, the controversial and long-delayed anti-terrorism shooter which was cancelled due to undisclosed reasons.

In April, Ubisoft previously released a trailer featuring British SAS but bearing a different name. In the trailer, the new team is working their way on to a hijacked aircraft wearing gas masks, breaking doors and engaging in a close gunfight using sub-machine guns and shotguns.

Pre-ordering of the game guarantees access to its upcoming beta in September. Ubisoft has also announced collector's edition for the game that features tactical guides, season passes, and steel books for pre-orders.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege which was first revealed at the E3 2013 will become available worldwide and set to release this coming October 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
