New leaked images of Samsung S6 Edge+ surfaced over the Internet recently. Images depict larger displays and a few minimal changes from the original features.
These new leaked images of the Samsung S6 Edge+ are revealed by the French tech blog Nowhere Else. And when it comes to reliability, Forbes backs this French blog as having a pretty solid track record of accurate leaks. Moreover, the latest Samsung flagship smartphone is rumored to be launched this August.
Forbes examined the leaked information and they found a few interesting points that best described this upcoming Samsung flagship phone. The most notable is the size difference. The S6 edge has a 5.1-inch touchscreen, and ithe Edge+ has been rumored to get a 5.7-inch panel. Also, there are minor changes on the microphone and infrared sensor features. However, it is certain that the original phone specifications are likely to be mostly the same. Except of course to the larger 5.7-inch display and the huge 3700mAh battery.
GSM Arena believes the same in terms of the usual Samsung galaxy Edge specification present on the upcoming Edge+. They also specifically pointed out the obvious placement of the microphones both on the top side and on the bottom, along with the lack of an infrared blaster, like what Forbes has observed, too.
Meanwhile, the leaked images of the Edge+ appears to indicate that this new super-sized flagship phone will be launched on August 21, instead of the rumored August 12-launch day as claimed by Apple Insider. Aside from this, Apple Insider believes that the leaked images hints that the upcoming Edge+ will have a gold color option and will be powered by Samsung's own Exynos 7420, not the usual Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips.
Of course, these observation are all based on the obvious physical parts of the rumored Samsung galaxy Edge+ on the leaked images. But what's not clear is whether or not there will be any added functionality to the Edge's famous curves. Anyway, that for sure will leak out as well before this much-anticipated device come out in August.
