Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is reported to have its big day on August 13 surprisingly one month before its slated launch.
Amid the fuss over Galaxy Note 5's killer specs and price details, Samsung is now scrambling to hasten the device to prevent clash and divided media attention against Apple who is also rumored to release iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on September.
In a South Korean report, Samsung wants the Galaxy Note 5 launched before the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus hit stores. The site called Apple's imminent launch a "threat" to Samsung's.
In another report, the South Korean tech giant will the August 13 launch of Galaxy Note 5 along with Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in New York. This time however Samsung seems to be breaking away from its tradition of releasing new phones days before an IFA event which normally falls in September.
The same report mentioned that Galaxy S6's sales so far has not exceeded Apple's iPhone 6 yet. Previously, the Galaxy Note 5 was first rumored to be released on August 12 or 23.
Last Thursday, a popular Indian import-export tracker revealed that a Samsung phone with model code SM-N920F has been shipped from Hong Kong to India. While a series of FCC filings by major mobile carriers like AT&T and Verizon Wireless has been spotted in the US. This all the more strengthened what was thought to be rumor at first.
Based on image leaks and tips, Galaxy Note 5 will wear a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen display, a 4 GB RAM, 16 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, 5 MP front shooter, an overhauled metal S Pen, 4,000 mAH battery, four color variants and an Exynos 7422 processor.
The all-new version of S Pen has a clickable button at the top and can be auto ejected. A microSDXC also sees its integration to the phone which helps the device's expandable storage up to 128 GB.
According to the same product tracker site, a Galaxy Note 5 unit would cost US $572. However, Samsung remains tight-lipped about it.
