Slightly Mad Studios has surprisingly released Project CARS newest major update now available for game's fans out there adding the Ruapuna Park track in New Zealand plus three luxurious cars namely, the IMSA GTO Audi 90, LMP Audi R8, and R18 e-Tron Quattro cars. Meanwhile, Project CARS 2 could possibly hit Nintendo's next gen console codenamed NX in late 2016.

According to Metro Co.UK, Project CARS has received the latest patch that was just released a day ago with addition of an all-new Ruapuna Park track in New Zealand and the three new cars mentioned. This news came out together with the recent cancellation of the title's release to Wii U. T

he game developer has revealed that the game can't run on the said Nintendo console. Slightly Mad Studio's top executive Ian Bell tells Nintendo Life saying, "As of now Project CARS is simply too much for the Wii U."

In the said report, the developer is claimed to have invested a great deal of effort so as to realize the release of Project CARS to Wii U. However, it was just hitting 23 frames per second which falls below the minimum of 30fps to suit preference of advanced racing gamers. On the brighter side of things, the studio keeps looking at the possibility that Nintendo's next gen console codenamed NX will be able to support Project CARS 2.

"Honestly, unless we really cut the looks back I think we're looking to Nintendo's next console," Bell said in an earlier report published on Nintendo Life website. "We still haven't given up on Wii U 100 per cent but if we can't make it work we will move to the next Nintendo machine."

This new platform from Nintendo is speculated to hit the gaming market the earliest in late 2016 which is assumed that Project CARS 2 would be available then for a possible more powerful NX.

In related news, Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed the participation of Nicholas Hamilton in the development of the game sequel. Hamilton is reportedly named the 'Handling Consultant' for Project CARS 2 who will be providing feedback on car handling and imparting his expertise in racing so as to create a more realistic feel in the gameplay.

Project Cars 2 was first announced only a month following the launc of the original game and once again, the studio sought for fan's help to raise the funds it needs to develop a more promising new game planned to feature largest list of tracks and over 200 cars.

Project CARS new major update is now live with exciting add-ons for fans while Project CARS 2 is bound to hit the PC, PS4 and Xbox One next year.
